Pequot Lakes School District

The district selected the Infinite Campus Student Information System in 2022.

We are excited to welcome Pequot Lakes School District to
the Infinite Campus community and share their experience thus far.

It's been evident from our first conversations with representatives from Infinite Campus that the level of service, ease of use, and overall product performance is top notch.

Kurt Stumpf, Superintendent

We selected Infinite Campus because...

Kerri: Infinite Campus was one of the student information systems in the running the last time our district was looking, and many of our staff wanted to hear what Infinite Campus had to offer.

Kurt: We reached out to 10 to 12 districts currently using Infinite Campus. They all reported a high level of satisfaction with the product and the timeliness of support. Adding Infinite Campus is allowing us to eliminate the need for other software platforms, and the cost is also significantly less than the cost for our previous SIS.

Kerri: Since the beginning of this process, we’ve felt overwhelming support and excitement from everyone at Campus, it’s been fabulous. They walked us through some of our high priority items – many of which were the driving force behind the switch. We’re excited for the messaging feature, the ability to work more seamlessly with Schoology, and the overall user-friendly system.

We have an implementation schedule that Infinite Campus has helped us develop. Throughout the process, they’re holding our hands through the whole thing and helping us along to ensure that the go-live date is as smooth as possible.

Kurt Stumpf, Superintendent

What challenges were you facing before using Infinite Campus SIS?

Kurt: The onboarding process and ongoing support from our old SIS and their subcontractors has been subpar and creates additional work for all staff. There are also many issues with their ability to interact with other software platforms.

Kerri: Being improperly implemented on our old SIS was a main pain point that caused a trickledown effect on multiple issues. When we reached out for help, we didn’t get the greatest response. We were redirected to a different company (of whom we had to pay) to help us manage and work through some of the larger issues we were having.

Kurt: They outsource some of their support to two other companies, making it costly and time-consuming to receive the appropriate help. During March 2022, district administration worked with our former SIS and a third-party to resolve more than twelve issues. While some issues were resolved, there were some issues that are outstanding and unable to be fixed.

Kerri: There was an overall feeling district-wide that people were not happy with the service and program we had. Moving forward to look for a new SIS was the clear choice.

If you were talking to a district that is currently looking at switching to Infinite Campus, what would you tell them? You should switch because...

Kurt: It’s been evident from our first conversations with representatives from Infinite Campus that the level of service, ease of use, and overall product performance is top-notch.

Kerri: From the very beginning, the staff at Infinite Campus made us feel like they cared and truly wanted to help get our district's information into a better place. When I had a question, it was answered. If they didn’t know, the response was, ‘let me ask my counterpart,’ but I always got the answer to my question.

We have been greatly impressed with the support and training we have received. The implementation team has been super supportive and willing to help when we need anything. Our weekly meetings are a great way to stay on task, and being able to work in our own trial site has been a great learning tool.

How responsive have we been to your questions and concerns? What would you tell someone about our support?

Kerri: Flying colors all around! From our very first meeting to a quick email when I have a question, the whole team at Campus has been a joy to work with. I even had someone answer something for me after-hours; I’m truly impressed with the process as a whole!

Kurt: Simply stated, the support and responsiveness from Infinite Campus representatives has been outstanding. They continuously go above and beyond to assist.

Most importantly, what would you tell other schools/districts about Infinite Campus the company?

Kerri: We have been greatly impressed with the support and training we have received. The implementation team has been super supportive and willing to help when we need anything. Our weekly meetings are a great way to stay on task, and being able to work in our own trial site has been a great learning tool.

Kurt: I would tell other schools/districts who are considering Infinite Campus, you won’t regret the move to IC.

Premium Products: A Truly Integrated System

Infinite Campus offers districts a wide selection of premium products that are built, integrated, and housed within the main SIS. Pequot Lakes School District is starting with four Infinite Campus Premium Products, including Food Service Point of Sale, Messenger with Voice, Online Registration and Campus Learning.

It was so refreshing to learn about all the Premium Products Campus had to offer. All the different options available for online enrollment and messaging that we can customize to meet our needs is great. To have everything housed under one program is a huge bonus.
