Blended Learning combines classroom and online learning experiences to reach and teach students safely and effectively.
In support of this model, a new feature in Infinite Campus allows each student to be associated to a Blended Learning Group.
These groups can then be designated as attending physically or virtually on any day of the school calendar. Virtual learners are displayed with a label identifying their context and the specific Group that they are a member of. Additionally, districts can enable the new Virtual Attendance tools to allow attendance for a virtual student to be taken via a student/parent check-in or indication of participation completed by their teacher. This virtual participation-based attendance is capable of being automatically posted to a student’s official attendance record without intervention from the Office and is self-healing to account for changes in student participation entered after the fact.
A student’s Blended Learning group and the days on which the groups are scheduled to attend virtually or physically may be changed by the district at any time, even after school starts.
