What sets us apart
Standards-based grading helps educators evaluate student learning based on their mastery of specific standards. While grading practices vary from district to district, schools often need the same foundational tools: consistent standards, flexible grading options, meaningful reporting, and visibility into student growth. The following seven strengths demonstrate how Infinite Campus supports standards-based grading.
Consistency
Standards are created and associated at the course catalog level, helping ensure that educators teaching the same or similar subjects are evaluating students with the same standards. District leaders don’t have to worry about standards being applied inconsistently across classrooms, and updates only need to be made when district requirements change.
Grading Flexibility
Districts don't have to choose between standards-based grading and traditional grading. Grade Book and Progress Monitor can be used independently or concurrently, allowing teachers to view student performance through the lens of both standards-based and traditional grading methods.
*A Campus Learning Suite license is required to use the Progress Monitor.Transcripts
Infinite Campus supports standards-based transcripts that display individual standards and levels of mastery, as well as hybrid transcripts that combine standards mastery with traditional letter grades. Districts can choose the reporting approach that best fits their grading practices.
Standards Roll-up
Infinite Campus supports standards roll-up calculations, allowing student performance on multiple sub-standards to contribute to their overall mastery score. Districts can choose from multiple calculation options to align grading practices.
Portfolio
The Standards Portfolio allows teachers to view student proficiency on standards across school years and courses, helping them see growth and learning progress over time.
*A Campus Learning Suite license is required to use the Standards Portfolio.Curriculum Library
Teachers can create assignments, align them to standards, and share them through the Curriculum Library. Fellow district teachers can then search for content by standard, saving them time and allowing them to use high-quality content from similar courses.
*A Campus Learning Suite license is required to use the Curriculum Library.CASE Integration
Districts can import and manage CASE standards frameworks through the Standards Import Wizard. This streamlines standards management and can help districts implement standards-based grading more efficiently.
