“We thought about going back to Aeries, it’s what we had before Illuminate. It would have been the easy choice. But, we compared Aeries and Campus on everything we wanted in a new student information system. Campus won most of them; it was not a hard decision. Campus has the better product. Nearly everybody said, ‘We’re going to Infinite Campus!’ We were blown away regarding:

Integration.

We had a separate messaging system with Blackboard. The fact we can do all our messaging through Campus is incredibly attractive. We have yet another program that runs our food service program and we can switch that to Campus as well. The point: We can eliminate vendors and consolidate databases. Seamless connection. Another Campus benefit is the seamless, real-time connection to Illuminate DnA. We do new student assessments the first day so the real-time connection is huge.

Census. 

I like that in Campus we can link people together in a household and allow a single person to be in many households and keep them as one record, without making a unique record per contact.

Document uploading. 

With Illuminate, we could upload birth certificates. Campus takes it much further as we can upload documents into Behavior and all sorts of places.

Records transfer. 

It’s so awesome; my Registrar is going to flip!
