San Rafael City Schools, California, Selects Infinite Campus for its Single Solution
Feb. 17, 2014 – Blaine, Minn. – San Rafael City Schools (SRCS), located in the North Bay region of the San Francisco Bay area, chose Infinite Campus as its student information system (SIS). With more than 6,200 students, SRCS will now be able to achieve its goals of streamlining professional developments, simplifying processes and improving district communication among its 12 schools.
SRCS’s selection process was very thorough. The district formed a committee of key stakeholders in the district including teachers, administrators, counselors, business managers, curriculum directors, IT staff and parents. The committee compared multiple SIS vendors in order to develop a list of criteria that included ease of use, company stability and one-stop-shop.
We sent an RFP to candidates who fit our list of criteria,” says Sean Rozell, SRCS Chief Technology Officer. “We received several responses and narrowed it down to two finalists. Both vendors demoed their product. The committee unanimously selected Infinite Campus as the best solution for our district.”
According to Ashton Faires, Campus Senior Sales Manager, “We’re thrilled to welcome SRCS to our growing community in California. Over the last two years in California when districts have included demonstrations of Infinite Campus in their RFP selection process, Infinite Campus has been awarded every single California RFP. And with a designated Campus Client Executive based in the state, personalized attention is assured. They will not only benefit from user-friendly functionality and advanced technology, but also by partnering with a company that has a vision for the future.”
SRCS maximized their investment by implementing Campus Messenger with Voice. This product works seamlessly with the Infinite Campus SIS, simplifying communication to parents, students and staff. General or emergency notifications can be delivered via email, phone or text messaging.
“Relying solely on Infinite Campus for our communication needs will reduce data-entry time and simplify tasks for our staff. We’re eager to have a single solution for all our needs,” says Rozell.
SRCS can expect to see immediate results after their go-live date on July 1, 2014.
