Infinite Campus Announces Major Enhancements to Campus Instruction
July 26, 2016 – Blaine, Minn. – Instructional planning has been made easier through new tools within Campus Instruction. Teachers can easily create and share units, lessons plans and assignments from within their section’s Planner. Using the Library, teachers can search for existing units, lesson plans and assignments by keyword, standard or learning objective. They can also share Planners with other teachers across a department, school or district. Districts already using the Infinite Campus student information system will not need to purchase or install additional software because Campus Instruction is included in the core product and ready for teachers to use.
“Teachers have tough jobs and they rely on each other today more than ever. These instructional planning enhancements make it easier than ever to create and share a rigorous, robust curriculum that meets students’ needs,” says Dr. Barry Brahier, Infinite Campus Product Manager for Curriculum and Teaching.
The enhanced Planner tool allows teachers to create and change upcoming units, lesson plans and assignments in a calendar format directly linked to the Portal. Teachers can also quickly view other teachers’ Planners to facilitate collaboration.
Campus Instruction includes the robust functionality of the previous version’s tools with many design enhancements to improve ease-of-use. Because it is a fully integrated SIS, all of Campus Instruction’s features are linked to the Grade Book, the online student and parent Portal, and district student records, improving access for students and productivity for teachers and district employees.
Campus Instruction’s enhanced features include Google Drive integration, online assignments and assessments, easy access to attendance and reports to track student progress in real time – all in one place.
Campus Instruction is currently available for implementation in the 2016-17 school year.
