Mayfield City Schools, Ohio, Selects Infinite Campus for a New SIS and a New Start

October 1, 2014 – Blaine, Minn. – When Mayfield City Schools (MCS) decided to find a new student information system (SIS), they realized that in addition to having Web-based, robust, integrated functionality, they wanted a professional service that could conduct a thorough data analysis and review best practices. MCS is getting both with Infinite Campus and the Campus Process Consulting service.

“Beyond getting advanced SIS functionality, our biggest need was an audit to assist in streamlining processes to gain efficiencies,” says John Duplay, Technology Director for MCS. “Campus Process Consulting provides us with a new start. We know Campus Consultants are the experts and can tell us exactly how to improve our data entry, management and reporting processes. So far, they have been excellent at providing the assistance we wanted.”

Campus Process Consulting is an optional service that districts utilize from pre-sale to go-live and beyond. Campus Consultants adjust district workflow processes for more efficiency, facilitate best-practice discussions based on desired outcomes, ensure district needs are addressed by system functionality and much more. Campus Process Consulting effectively saves staff time and eliminates redundant data entry.

According to Duplay, MCS looked at other systems but Infinite Campus offered the most advanced functionality. And, stakeholder reaction to the Infinite Campus demonstration was overwhelmingly positive.

The response to the Infinite Campus demonstration was pretty much shock and awe,” says Duplay. “People quickly realized just how far behind we were with our outdated system. Also, it became clear that Infinite Campus would enable us to eliminate many third-party products.”

MCS is maximizing its investment in the core SIS by implementing three Premium Products: Messenger with Voice, Online Payments and Online Registration. Messenger with Voice is used for daily and emergency notifications to staff, students and parents through email, text and voice messages. Online Payments gives parents a secure electronic payment option for food service and fee transactions. Online Registration streamlines student registration with a configurable solution for every district’s needs.

“Our system didn’t have any user-friendly online registration capabilities,” says Duplay. “We’re really excited about the opportunity to speed up our registration process with Online Registration.”

The Infinite Campus single solution, with qualified service and support, integrated premium products, and more give MCS the assurance they made the best decision for their district.
