Infinite Campus Expands Tools for Teachers

May 30, 2014 – Blaine, Minn. – Infinite Campus introduces Campus Instruction, a new suite of educational tools for teachers. Designed with teachers in mind, Campus Instruction offers a clean and straightforward approach to planning instruction, assessing student growth, and reporting progress all in one place. Districts already using the Infinite Campus student information system will not need to purchase or install additional software because Campus Instruction is included in the core product and ready for teachers to use.

Demonstrating its commitment to teachers and students, Infinite Campus engaged in a two-year project to modernize and expand its classroom functionality. Campus Instruction includes the robust functionality of the previous version’s tools with many design enhancements to improve ease-of-use. Because it is a fully integrated SIS, all of Campus Instruction’s features are linked to the Grade Book, the online student and parent Portal, and district student records, improving access for students and productivity for teachers and district employees.

Campus Instruction’s enhanced features include online assignments and assessments, easy access to attendance and reports to track student progress in real time – all in one place.

In addition, using Campus Grade Book teachers can create assignments, attach files for student download, receive student submissions online, grade those assignments, and give immediate feedback visible to students and guardians on the Portal.

The new Planner tool allows teachers to create and change upcoming assignments in a calendar format directly linked to the Portal. Teachers can also quickly view other teachers’ schedules to facilitate collaboration.

Seating Charts now have easy drag-and-drop set-up, which enables teachers to mirror a classroom’s physical layout.

In Student Groups, teachers can group students for projects or differentiated instruction and create assignments just for those students.According to Barry Brahier, Product Manager at Infinite Campus, “In Campus Instruction, we have worked very hard to ensure that our teacher tools reflect the daily realities of a classroom. We want teachers to regard us as a partner in advancing student growth and engagement.”

Campus Instruction is currently available for implementation in the 2014-15 school year.
