Charlie Kratsch founded Infinite Campus, Inc. in 1993 and continues as the CEO today. We are proud to say more than 2,000 districts in 43 states currently use Infinite Campus as their student information system (SIS) solution. We have become the most trusted name in student information by combining advanced educational ideas and innovative technology. Our Vision & Goals
As a privately held company, our focus is on the development, services, and support of our public K12 education student data management system - Infinite Campus District Edition and our state accountability system - Infinite Campus State Edition.
Having an affordable, fully-integrated, Web-based product is central to the realization of our vision of educational transformation through the use of information technology. Using a fully-integrated SIS, data is entered once and immediately available anytime, anywhere. When information is managed in a single SQL database, districts reduce costs and save valuable staff time and resources. Most SIS vendors require third-party applications to properly install and maintain a complex software application. At Infinite Campus, we're a one-stop-shop!Product Details
Charlie, our Founder and CEO, started Infinite Campus in 1993. As an innovator, Charlie knew the Internet was going to greatly impact technology, so he built Infinite Campus District Edition from the ground-up as the first fully Web-based student information system (SIS).
We have been providing customers with advanced SIS functionality via a hosted service model from the beginning. The original version of Infinite Campus was launched in 1996 at Centennial School District in Circle Pines, Minn., which is still using our system today. Our solutions have regular, incremental enhancements which allow our customers to stay ahead of the game without changing systems.
For over 20 years we have been successfully implementing student information systems nationwide. Our strong leadership and determination is what drives our growing company.
Ironically, after a brief retirement, his stepfather, a school principal, challenged him to use his knowledge and experience to help education. Rising to the challenge, Charlie founded Infinite Campus in 1993 while serving as a district technology director in order to learn about education “from the inside.” As a result, he has spent the better part of the last thirteen years in schools all over the country and has developed a thorough understanding of how schools work and interrelate.
On June 14, 2012 Ernst & Young LLP announced that Charlie received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2012 Award in the education category in the Upper Midwest. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
