Dive-in with Certification Courses
Being certified helps district staff to dive in and thoroughly know the system while using it properly, maximizing the return on your Infinite Campus investment, and minimizing the time spent calling support. Campus Certifications offer an opportunity to go deep into the processes and possibilities available to fully utilize the system.

Two districts that completed PK1 in March 2009 saw the number of support cases decrease following completion of certification while the other two districts saw calls quadruple. All four districts went live in November 2008.
Why Certification?
Customers with a high level of product proficiency can maximize their efficiency, saving valuable resources. Districts with staff who have completed certification courses have found functionality and tools that complement or replace other third-party systems currently in use.
A case study was done recently to understand if the number of training-related support issues changed if the district took Product Knowledge 1 (PK1). Four districts that went live fall 2008 were studied. Two of the four districts completed PK1 in March 2009. An analysis of the number of training-related calls to Campus Support found that the districts who participated in certification had a reduced number of support calls – minimizing the amount of time spent on the phone.
Available Certifications
PK1 is designed for those responsible for training, support and administration of the Infinite Campus system. Attendees create and set up a hypothetical school based on particular requirements defined in the project; along the way attendees explore different set-up options and the implications involved.
Advanced Topics is an in-depth collaborative workshop designed for those using Infinite Campus for more than six months and are ready to explore topics not covered in PK1.
Technical Certification I provides an in-depth exposure to the Infinite Campus schema and database. Through in-class activities participants learn how data is saved by the application in the database and how to query the data using SELECT statements.
Technical Certification II provides an introduction to using third-party reporting tools to create custom reports and deploy them into the district.
Scheduling Certification uses a constructivist problem-based learning approach to explore the various methods and processes by which a school’s master schedule can be created and designed. By exploring the various options for the underlying setup, request entry, and schedule creation process, participants return to their districts better equipped to explore solutions and options for solving unique scheduling challenges in their secondary schools.
Support Certification prepares district-level support staff to understand how to investigate and resolve technical issues. They will be equipped to qualify an issue, resulting in faster responses to resolution.
Courses can be taken at the Infinite Campus headquarters, at regional locations or at your district. Find out more by contacting your Infinite Campus representative today. |
