Infinite Campus State Edition Success Stories
Infinite Campus has been implemented in four very unique ways since the release of the Infinite Campus State Edition. Whether the purchase as mandated by the legislature to use statewide or it was offered as a possible district solution, Infinite Campus provided the flexibility needed to meet the particular interest or goals of each with one product. Listed below are the implementation stories associated for the state customers of Infinite Campus.

Bureau of Indian Education
The Federal Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) selected Infinite Campus to build their Native American Student Information System (NASIS). NASIS manages student data for the 184 Bureau funded schools spread across 23 states, has real-time data collection as a national transactional student data warehouse and provides data analysis tools for federal administrators.

Infinite Campus is providing all software and application hosting needed for the project, as well as project management, data conversion, onsite training and ongoing support services. For nearly 27 years, the BIE has been trying to successfully launch a single, coordinated student system for its member schools. Now, with the help of Infinite Campus, they will have a fully functional system in place less than one year from contract signing to completed implementation.

Commonwealth of Kentucky
The Commonwealth of Kentucky selected Infinite Campus to manage their student information system needs for each of their 630,000 students statewide and to manage state level needs for the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE). The Commonwealth purchased both the Infinite Campus State Edition and the Infinite Campus District Edition for each of its 170+ districts statewide.

The selection of Infinite Campus statewide provides an optimal environment for the KDE. The department can now rely on the data to be accurate and be assured that it is entered based on state-defined best practices. With the data being entered and managed by the actual end user or "data expert," the integrity of the data is high. Finally with complete integration, the KDE can be assured that the data is not lost or out of date.

The system also eliminates state reporting for all districts as the data is available in real time at the KDE. This gives the KDE the ability to securely access data to answer the questions that policy makers are asking of them.

The KDE and the first district went live on the Infinite Campus State Edition and Infinite Campus District Edition in July 2007 – six months after contract signing. Infinite Campus is completed the entire implementation by April 2009.

State of Maine
The Maine Department of Education (DOE) selected Infinite Campus in February 2008 to replace its existing Maine Education Data Management System (MEDMS), a student and staff data collection and reporting system. Although MEDMS met the initial reporting requirements established in 2001, the DOE leadership, along with the Data Management Team, determined it was no longer capable of meeting growing state and LEA data requirements and needed to be replaced with a more comprehensive statewide student information system.

The DOE chose the Infinite Campus State Edition and offers the Infinite Campus District Edition (ICDE) to districts as a no cost option. Usage of the ICDE will give the DOE access to the student data required at the state level, eliminating traditional state reporting for the districts using ICDE.

State of Montana
The state of Montana’s Office of Public Instruction (OPI) selected the Infinite Campus State Edition to manage accountability statewide in June 2006. Montana’s unique challenge of managing its 331 geographically dispersed school districts is ideally suited to Infinite Campus.
In June 2007, OPI signed another contract with Infinite Campus for the purchase of the Achievement in Montana (AIM) Student Information System provided to all districts statewide at no cost. The AIM Montana Edition is the localized version of the state’s software.

Infinite Campus completed implementation and training of the AIM Montana Edition districts and requires new IEP documentation for students to be entered into the AIM Montana Edition. Districts choosing to move to the Infinite Campus District Edition receive a discount from the OPI towards the purchase of it or towards a maintenance contract and will join other districts currently enjoying the benefits of using the Infinite Campus District Edition.

State of South Dakota
In 2001, the South Dakota Department of Education selected Infinite Campus for its state level needs and offered the Infinite Campus District Edition to the state's districts. 163 of the 165 districts accepted the offer and are benefiting from unique student ID assignment, district-to-district data transfers and the elimination of state reporting, since the state has immediate access to the district-level data. The system also collects data from non-Infinite Campus districts via the state's SIMS.net to compile the state's NCLB report card.

The state has benefited from the simplified federal reporting and NCLB report card that is published to the Web in real time.
