Infinite Campus Products Frequently Asked Questions Infinite Campus Products

1. I’ve already been to Interchange once, why should I continue to attend?
Interchange is an opportunity for you and your staff to obtain low cost, continuing education. As your expertise with the system evolves, Interchange offers more advanced sessions in the areas of instruction, system administration and data analysis. As new functionality is added, Interchange is a great way to learn how to use it effectively. Beginning this year, Infinite Campus will offer attendees the opportunity to continue their education after Interchange through online discussions and additional sessions that compliment what you learned at Interchange.

2. How do you determine what to offer for sessions?
Each spring, we review the sessions provided during the previous year to determine if they should continue to be offered, altered or be replaced based on your survey feedback.

In addition, completely new sessions are offered based on new functionality. Theory sessions and sessions led by K12 experts are offered to align with the theme of Interchange.

3. What does the theme Inspire mean?
This year, the theme Inspire, is meant to dig deeper into the system’s functionality so that teachers, administrators and support staff can use it to inspire students in the classroom, let support staff focus on their area of expertise, and administrators can leverage integrated data to inspire their entire staff.

4. I’m a teacher, why should I attend?
With most teachers receiving their training from internal teacher coaches, Interchange is an opportunity for teachers to obtain continuing education direct from Infinite Campus. Sessions for teachers focus on how to use lesson planning to better communicate assignments and important deadlines and grades through the portal. Focused sessions are provided for teachers leading elementary or secondary classrooms or special education.

5. I’m a curriculum director, why should I attend?
Your investment in Infinite Campus can be leveraged to support your district’s mapped curriculum. Curriculum leaders will gain knowledge in how to leverage course catalogs, push lesson plans out so teachers' grade books are pre-populated with activities, and understand the outcomes of your curriculum in real time using Campus reporting and analysis tools.

6. I’m an administrator, why should I attend?
Learn how to use Infinite Campus to inspire teachers, staff, students, parents and school boards through the use of the system’s communication, reporting and analysis tools. Interchange also provides sessions on leadership, change and where Infinite Campus is heading in the future.

7. I provide support within my district, why should I attend?
We know that you – be that counseling, secretaries, pupil personnel, and clerks – are the power users of Infinite Campus and continuing education sessions are vital to your work. See what is new in Campus, understand how other districts use Infinite Campus in new and exciting ways and build on the skills you already have using the system.

8. Last year, I attended sessions that didn’t meet my needs – how should I select sessions that will meet my needs?
Be sure to review your session catalog carefully to select sessions that meet your user level. There are four user levels: Master, Intermediate, Beginner, and New to Campus.
• New to Campus – If your district just signed with Infinite Campus or if you are new to a district and have not used Infinite Campus before, the New to Campus sessions are right for you.
• Beginner – If you’ve gone through implementation training in the last year, you should select from beginner sessions.
• Intermediate – If your district or you’ve had more than one complete academic year of experience on the product, you are ready for intermediate sessions.
• Master – These sessions are designed for those with more than three years of experience on the product in the areas of instruction, scheduling, and system administration.

9. I like hands-on sessions, will Infinite Campus be providing more of these?
Yes, we think hands-on sessions are the best way to put theory into practice and we are expanding our hands-on session offerings. Infinite Campus is investing into dedicated laptops for a hands-on lab and we are currently partnering with Dell to provide an additional lab this year. In addition, you are encouraged to bring your personal laptop, too.

10. I registered for the hands-on sessions last year, but when I went to the session, there weren’t any computers available. Why should I pre-register?
This year, we will be using Infinite Campus to manage Interchange – from online registration, setting up the session catalogs and scheduling. Because of this, each session leader will be taking attendance and those who have not pre-registered will be asked to wait to take a seat until those that pre-registered are seated.

11. What is the Interchange Cancellation Policy?
Attendees may cancel up to 72 hours before the event without penalty. Cancellations made 72 hours before Day One of the event will receive a full refund within 30 days of the conclusion of the event. Confirmed registrants who do not attend and do not cancel will be charged for the entire registration fee. Please note that non-payment does not constitue cancellation. Each instance of cancellation notice given less than 72 hours will be handled on a case-by-case basis. To cancel, please contact Brooke Boeser at interchange@infinitecampus.com or at 763-795-3828.
