March 9, 2009 – Blaine, Minn. – Three districts in the state of Virginia have selected Infinite Campus as their district-wide student information system (SIS). Dinwiddie, Floyd, and Halifax County Public Schools will be implementing Infinite Campus District Edition, a comprehensive, web-based system that streamlines administrative processes and provides secure, real-time access to data.

“We are pleased these districts chose Infinite Campus,” said Bob Sills, regional sales manager. “Their leadership will demonstrate the forward-thinking value of Infinite Campus. As early adopters in Virginia, these districts will be able to leverage resources, meet educational needs and prepare for the future.”

When the Commonwealth of Virginia released the approved SIS vendor list, Dinwiddie was eager to find an SIS that could incorporate its many isolated systems.

“We had six different programs that ran together. We wanted a system that had all these in one package,” said Timothy Ampy, Dinwiddie’s Director of Technology. “We considered everything that Infinite Campus brings to the table, not just price. Our committee agreed Infinite Campus was the best system to meet our needs.”

First-time users in a state find that Infinite Campus provides state reporting capabilities and responds quickly to these ever-changing requirements. Across the country, first-time districts benefit from the fully integrated functionality and centralized database.

“The integrated state reporting component of Infinite Campus is very appealing. We want to streamline all our programs and be more efficient in managing the district,” said Melanie Stanley, Halifax’s Director of Academics. “In addition, Infinite Campus allows our administrators and educators to access necessary data quickly, and in real time, to make better informed decisions.”

Also, responsive customer service and support was important to these districts.

“Infinite Campus staff keeps us informed every step of the way, have returned calls promptly, and have had great patience with us as we begin the conversion process,” said Dr. Linda Petrie, Floyd’s Director of Instruction. “We look forward to not only the excellent software package but to working with a company that offers quality support.”

These three Virginia districts join a national community of Campus Users and plan to go live by the end of summer 2009.
