Region 10 Educational Service Center Selects Infinite Campus Student Information System

Nov. 5, 2007 – Arden Hills, Minn. – Infinite Campus announces today that the Region 10 Educational Service Center of Richardson, Texas, will offer the Infinite Campus student data management system to its districts.

Region 10 serves 80 public districts, 31 charter schools and numerous private schools in northern Texas. Infinite Campus gives these districts an integrated, web-based system providing real-time, secure access to data, leverages resources and promotes stakeholder collaboration.

"Throughout the years, Region 10 has provided quality service to build strong relationships with its districts," said Steve Rutledge, Infinite Campus Regional Sales Manager. "Combining their service experience with the advantages of Campus, districts can leverage this proven product to more effectively manage data and reach educational goals."

When reviewing vendors, Region 10 wanted to look nationally. However, they also wanted to make certain that Texas state reporting would be delivered for its customers. Infinite Campus has experience in working closely with customers in new states to develop state reporting requirements and Region 10 saw the success with Campus in other states.

"Infinite Campus got it right," said Randy Sumrall, Chief Information Officer for Region 10. "It was the first product we saw that had a user interface and method of doing business that made sense to educators."

The Region 10 and Infinite Campus partnership will benefit North Texas districts, providing close-to-home service and support. Six districts have already contracted with Region 10, including Mansfield ISD, Grand Prairie ISD, Terrell ISD and Weatherford ISD. Anna ISD will be contracting soon and several more schools have indicated an interest.

Districts found that Infinite Campus was built using true web-based technology – not just shifting old applications to function on the Web. "The ability to rapidly update and reprogram the system was simple, and the business processes straight-forward, yet powerful. But it was the Campus Schedule Wizard that was the real "wow" factor. We all agreed this was the system we needed," said Sumrall.

Districts chose Infinite Campus nearly 3-1 over the next closest vendor.

"When other districts see how well Campus functions with the Texas state reporting built in, there will be more Campus users in Texas," said Sumrall. "We are anxious to show the product to our districts. They’re going to like what they see."
