Portsmouth Public Schools Selects Infinite Campus for Student Data Management
Sept. 24, 2007– Arden Hills, Minn. – Portsmouth Public Schools, New Hampshire, has selected Infinite Campus as their district-wide student data management system. Portsmouth will be implementing the Infinite Campus District Edition, a comprehensive, web-based system that eliminates islands of information, streamlines student administration, and provides secure, real-time access to data.
“We are pleased that Portsmouth Public Schools selected Infinite Campus,” said Charlie Kratsch, founder and CEO of Infinite Campus. “As the first district in New Hampshire, they will be leaders in leveraging resources, meeting educational needs and preparing for the future.”
Portsmouth will go live in February 2008. They join the growing number of districts in 41 states who have experienced proven results with Infinite Campus.
“Our student information system is10 years old and has multiple databases that are difficult to keep up-to-date for effective state reporting,” said Susan Birrell, Information Technology Director for Portsmouth. “We need a centralized data management system that uses a single source data entry method to track student assessments, improve our state reporting process and increase administrator and teacher productivity.”
First-time users in a state find that Infinite Campus provides state reporting capabilities and responds quickly to these ever-changing requirements. Across the country, first time districts have had positive experiences with Infinite Campus, quickly benefiting from improved data integrity and meeting reporting deadlines.
“What Infinite Campus offers - an integrated, web-based system - is what we want,” said Birrell. “In addition, we will have the capabilities to improve parent communication. It meets our district’s needs for sharing information between educators and especially to improve home/school communication.”
Portsmouth Public Schools will be working with UNICOM Technology Group, Inc., the Campus Channel Partner for New England. Steve Arnoff, UNICOM’s Director of Educational Services says, “We are excited to have Portsmouth as an Infinite Campus customer. Their willingness to lead the way in New Hampshire will demonstrate the benefits and forward-thinking the product provides for other districts in the state.”
The strong implementation and leadership team was an important factor in their decision. Infinite Campus and its partners provide professional project managers working closely with the district team. Infinite Campus has a 13-year history of implementation success with districts of all sizes across the country.
