March 26, 2008 – Arden Hills, Minn., – Infinite Campus, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Zone Integration Server (ZIS) is the first to be nationally certified by the Schools Interoperability Framework Association (SIFA). The Infinite Campus ZIS is 2.0r1 certified by the organization.

“The new 2.0r1 ZIS certification will contribute to greater out-of-the-box interoperability in SIF implementations,” explains Mark Reichert, SIFA’s Chief Technology Officer. “Infinite Campus tested its ZIS in accordance with the SIF 2.0r1 implementation specification and is the first vendor to be certified as conforming to the requirement.”

Infinite Campus provides every customer, at no additional cost, a SIF agent and an embedded ZIS. Known as the Campus Data Integration Server (DIS), these free tools can be used to populate a district’s third-party SIF compliant applications or seamlessly communicate with regional and state data systems.

“This certification assures our customers that our product conforms to the ZIS 2.0r1 specification,” stated David Frankson, Infinite Campus Director of Research and Development. “In addition to its use to populate third-party applications, the Campus DIS is the engine enabling Campus district-to-district transfers and student ID assignment for our state customers.”

The Campus DIS is the technology that also enables Campus Food Service data to communicate with the point-of-sale terminals located in the cafeteria in real time.
