Infinite Campus Receives CSIS Capable Designation from the California Department of Education

Nov. 18, 2008 – Arden Hills, Minn. – Infinite Campus is pleased to announce that it has received the California Department of Education (DoE) California School Information Services (CSIS)-capable designation. This designation acknowledges that the Infinite Campus District Edition is capable of managing and exchanging student and staff information for the California Department of Education through CSIS.

“Our California customers benefit from the CSIS-capable designation by having the required extracts and reports needed for compliance with the California DoE,” said Ashton Faires, Infinite Campus Western Regional Sales Manager. “These state reporting capabilities are a part of the core product, Infinite Campus District Edition, available to our customers at no additional charge.”

To receive the CSIS-capable designation, Infinite Campus provides the ability to:
1.    Capture, display and manage all data elements in the current CSIS data submission requirement document
2.    Request, assign and maintain the CSIS statewide student ID
3.    Perform extracts to comply with periodic enrollment updates and CSIS Annual SSID Enrollment Update requirements
4.    Import CSIS extracts back into the system and allow changes to the SSID element
5.    Transmit extracted data that passes CSIS validations
6.    Perform record transfer activities
7.    Perform fall and spring state reporting

Infinite Campus was awarded this designation on August 18, 2008 and it is available in version 2009.1 of the Infinite Campus District Edition.
