Infinite Campus Announces Nationwide District-to-District Student Data Transfers

June 9, 2008 – Arden Hills, Minn., – Infinite Campus is pleased to announce the release of the Campus National Records Exchange (NRE) which routes student data records between K-12 customer districts. As one of the new features in the 2009.1 release, the Campus NRE improves the richness of data available to the new school, provides an effective student tracking mechanism and reduces the security risk of a paper-based transfer.

The Campus NRE is a standardized student records transfer utility that works between two Infinite Campus districts regardless of location. When a district activates this functionality and “joins” the Infinite Campus national community of users, customer districts can request detailed student data from the original district and the information is routed to the new district.

“The Campus National Records Exchange is yet another way we are reaching our goal of streamlining administrative processes, not only within a district, but now between districts on a national level,” states Charlie Kratsch, founder and CEO of Infinite Campus. “This unique benefit is available only to our customers and will help them reduce the time spent enrolling new students.”

Participation by customers is voluntary with Infinite Campus managing a registry of member districts. This is how it works:
1. The receiving district requests the student’s records and the sending district approves the request.
2. The approved request is routed through the National Campus Router to the receiving district. Infinite Campus only routes data – no data is stored.
3. The receiving district is notified of the approval.
4. The receiving district then views and imports the data sent from the sending district.

Rich data sets are then routed to the new school using an intuitive import wizard or a read-only pdf format.
