Infinite Campus Announces Emergency Notification

Jan. 5, 2009 – Blaine, Minn. – Infinite Campus, Inc.® today announced the release of the Infinite Campus District Edition 2009.2 student information system with emergency notification.

Campus Messenger with Voice, powered by ShoutPoint, leverages Infinite Campus system data to immediately distribute critical, large volume calls. Infinite Campus integration ensures the most current telephone numbers are used to immediately make calls – no need to wait for an export of data from or to a third-party system, especially critical during urgent situations.

“It is important that our customers have the ability to quickly communicate information to parents and guardians, especially during an emergency,” states Charlie Kratsch, CEO and founder of Infinite Campus. “With this new solution, our customers will be able to distribute urgent messages, as well as normal daily voicemail communications without hardware and long distance fees – saving them budget dollars in this difficult economic environment.”

ShoutPoint technology is high-volume call routing through call centers located across the United States via voice-over Internet protocol or VOIP service. This service provides dedicated ports and allows Infinite Campus customers the ability to prioritize emergency traffic when needed.

District customers no longer will have to invest in hardware or long distance charges. This enhancement is available for any Infinite Campus customer regardless of size or hosting model at a reasonable pricing structure.

Campus Messenger with Voice, powered by ShoutPoint, will also continue to provide normal daily voice communications needs such as attendance dialing, behavior incidents and other district-specific notices.

Campus Messenger with Voice 2009.2 is currently in pilot testing and is scheduled for general availability March 2009. ShoutPoint telephony service may also be eligible for Federal E-rate funding.
