Ceres Unified Selects Infinite Campus to Improve Student Achievement

Jan. 28, 2008 – Arden Hills, Minn., – Ceres Unified School District (CUSD), serving 11,786 students, has selected Infinite Campus as its district-wide student management system. Ceres, located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley of Central California, wanted a true web-based system with single data entry to share real-time information across the district. After a thorough review of most national and statewide student information systems, Infinite Campus was selected.

District officials are excited to introduce this new system to the staff. "Teachers, students and parents will be able to logon to access student performance data, attendance, disciplinary information, grades and assignments at any time through our secured Web server. Access to this information will enable all stakeholders to work collaboratively to improve student achievement," said Carey Brock, CUSD Coordinator of Information Technology.

Ceres had previously used SASI for student information management, and when it was decided to search for a new vendor, they found Infinite Campus was different from other companies. "Campus was the most advanced system and forward-thinking company we considered," said Brock. "In addition, Campus has a solid presence in California, and we feel confident they will be CSIS and California state reporting certified very soon."

CUSD is committed to advancing technology in their district and they believe in the Infinite Campus goal of individualized education. "Ceres sees the many advantages of promoting individualized learning for each of their students," said Ashton Faires, western regional sales manager for Infinite Campus. "They will use Campus to further their efforts in this area by using personalized learning plans within the system. Ceres was looking for the most advanced technology to provide to their stakeholders, and they found it with Infinite Campus."

Ceres is currently implementing Campus and will go live fall 2008.
