May 5, 2009 – Blaine, Minn., – Cave Creek Unified School District (CCUSD), serving 6,000 students, has selected Infinite Campus® as its district-wide student information system (SIS).
CCUSD, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, wanted to streamline work processes, improve communications, and have a truly integrated, web-based system with easy access for all users.
CCUSD had previously used SASI as its student data management system. After a thorough review of several vendors, CCUSD found what it needed with Infinite Campus.
“We liked how so many things were already included in the core product, such as a parent portal, special education and state reporting. It was apparent a lot of thought had gone into its development,” said Julie Morgenthal, CCUSD Technology Director. “We are excited about the interactive form builder, the centralized database for information that is common between students at different schools, the scheduler and the email communication features.”
Communication between the school and parents is critical to a student’s success and CCUSD is looking forward to using the Campus Portal, which provides immediate access to grades, assignments, attendance, school notices and more. “The Campus Portal will connect teachers, parents, staff and students,” said Morgenthal. “This feature was one of our top priorities when searching for a new SIS.”
In addition, CCUSD sees a return on investment opportunity due to the integrated nature of Infinite Campus. One-time data entry; electronic communications leveraging data already managed in the system; efficient student calendar roll forward; and easy to use ad hoc reporting tools with access to all data elements help make informed decisions that will save time and budget resources.
