Boise Selects Infinite Campus to Increase Productivity and Improve Communication

March 24, 2008 – Arden Hills, Minn. – Independent School District of Boise City, serving 25,000 students, has selected Infinite Campus as its district-wide student management system. As the capital of Idaho, Boise wanted a true web-based system with single data entry to share real-time information across the district. After a thorough review of several student information systems, Infinite Campus was the first choice.

“We were looking for a single database system accessible via the Web to replace our aging SASIxp system. This would allow easy access from classroom, office or home,” said Dr. Steve Tyree, Boise Public Schools Chief Information Officer. “We wanted a completely integrated package that included a grade book and parent portal. The ability to track, report, analyze and communicate student assessments was a major attraction. Infinite Campus had the best system on the market.”

Boise also wanted to increase the productivity by streamlining processes and improving communication with stakeholders. “Infinite Campus is a robust system with full reporting capabilities. It has an excellent scheduling tool, one-time data entry, flexibility and an intuitive interface,” said Tyree. “The real-time data will keep parents, students and staff informed so we can focus on student achievement.”

Boise School District will go live in August 2008.
