Eleven Western Michigan School Districts Select Infinite Campus as Their New Student Information System

Aug. 24, 2006 - Arden Hills, Minn., - Infinite Campus, Inc. of Arden Hills, Minn. today announced that Allendale Public Schools, Black River Public Schools, Caledonia Community Schools, Coopersville Area Public Schools, Creative Technologies Academy, Grand Rapids Catholic Secondary Schools, Grandville Public Schools, Holland Public Schools, Newaygo Public Schools, Ottawa Area Intermediate School District and West Ottawa Public Schools have selected Infinite Campus as their district-wide student data and education process management system.

“We are pleased that these leading schools in western Michigan have selected Infinite Campus as their student data management system,” said Charlie Kratsch, founder and CEO of Infinite Campus. “The commitment of these districts to use Infinite Campus is directly linked to the successful partnership we’ve established with Zeeland Public Schools since their decision to implement in 2004.”

With separate contracts, these 11 districts totaling over 33,500 students, are planning a fall 2006 rollout of Infinite Campus. In addition, Zeeland Public Schools, with 5,000 students, is currently using Infinite Campus.

“For the past two years we have been using Infinite Campus in our district,” says Stephen Braunius, director of instructional technology for Zeeland Public Schools. “The system has allowed us to implement our vision of getting real-time data to our entire school community. This occurs through a logical Web interface that allows us to support teaching and learning.”

Student data is managed through a centralized database providing real-time information to those who need it. When an Infinite Campus user enters data into the system, everyone can view the changed data immediately without waiting for overnight uploads or data synchronizations.

Teachers, administrators and counselors benefit from using secure, real-time data to help them make effective decisions regarding instruction. Parents, guardians, and students benefit by being able to access their student data via the Campus Portal on the Web to understand assignments, attendance, and grades.

“We reviewed several products and our district unanimously selected Infinite Campus to help us manage class scheduling, record attendance, post grades and report student information to the state of Michigan,” says Timothy Purkey, assistant superintendent of Grandville Public Schools. “It will meet the challenges of tomorrow that constantly come our way due to a variety of outside influences. Infinite Campus will position our district for the future.”

To help Michigan schools comply with annual state and federal reporting requirements, Infinite Campus provides a built-in Michigan Single Record Student Database (SRSD) state reporting interface. The reporting interface produces all of the state-required SRSD extracts for testing via the state’s SRSD Error Check program and subsequent transmission to the state.

In February 2006, Infinite Campus announced a partnership agreement with Optimal Solutions of Wyoming, Michigan. Optimal Solutions will be instrumental in helping these school districts with local services and support.

“With over 14 years of experience of providing sales and services of student information systems in the state of Michigan, Optimal Solutions is well positioned to provide the services that these districts are expecting from their Infinite Campus investment,” said Jeffrey Ingle, president of Optimal Solutions, Inc. “The Infinite Campus experience for us has been a breath of fresh air.
