HAUPPAUGE, NY (May, 2012) - Custom Computer Specialists, Inc. ("Custom"), the Northeast Channel Partner for Infinite Campus, announces that Somers Central School District, which serves 3,400 students within the town of Somers in northern Westchester County, NY, has selected Infinite Campus as its student information system (SIS). Infinite Campus, the largest American owned SIS, was selected as it was the only system to meet all key requirements identified by the district and the only SIS to be considered a top-tier solution four years in a row by market analysts.

A few top priorities for Somers Central School District were:

  • A solution with complete mobile access, allowing all constituents access to information anytime, anywhere, on any device.
  • An adaptable course master design that allows the district to incorporate personalized learning communities into their curriculum mapping.
  • An integrated data analysis interface to provide the district with the information they need in order to accomplish their vision of educating the whole child.

“No other program came close to the ease-of-use, reporting capabilities and power of Infinite Campus. Also, the data conversion and implementation processes used by Custom provided a smooth transition from our legacy system," said Dr. Raymond Blanch, Superintendent for Somers Central School District. “Data visualization was key in our decision to choose Infinite Campus. Without a good way to look at ‘data in motion,’ we are only able to see snapshots. The evaluation of student performance, program success and teacher effectiveness can only be measured over time. Infinite Campus gives us the clear ability to look at data in this way.”

Somers Central School District’s implementation, conversion, training and ongoing support will be handled by Custom Computer Specialists' dedicated Infinite Campus team.

"Custom is pleased to have been chosen to partner with the Somers Central School District on this critical project," said Alan Lacher, Custom's Chief Operating Officer. "Our expertise in enterprise systems integration and K12 operations will ensure a smooth transition and provide Somers Central School District with unsurpassed product and service quality."

The Somers Central School District plans to go live with Infinite Campus in July 2012.
