Oct. 10, 2007– Arden Hills, Minn. – Alachua County Public Schools, Gainesville, Florida, has selected Infinite Campus as their district-wide student data management system. Alachua County will be implementing the Infinite Campus District Edition, a comprehensive, Web-based system that eliminates islands of information, streamlines student administration, and provides secure, real-time access to data.
"We are pleased that Alachua County Public Schools selected Infinite Campus," said Charlie Kratsch, founder and CEO of Infinite Campus. "As the first Infinite Campus district in Florida, they will lead the way in meeting the educational needs of each student by leveraging resources, improving communication to stakeholders and making data-driven decisions."
Alachua County Public Schools will go live with Infinite Campus in six months. They join the growing number of districts in 41 states who have experienced proven results with Infinite Campus.
"We looked at six major vendors and none of the systems generated much excitement until we saw Infinite Campus," said Jim Utley, Chief Technology Officer for Alachua County Public Schools. "Infinite Campus has a strong focus on K12 education and they recognize the challenges in the K12 environment."
First-time users in a state find that Infinite Campus provides state reporting capabilities and responds quickly to these ever-changing requirements. Across the country, first time districts have had positive experiences with Infinite Campus, quickly benefiting from improved data integrity and meeting reporting deadlines with ease.
"The search committee and stakeholders were visibly impressed with what they heard and saw presented by Infinite Campus," said Utley.
Alachua County Public wanted to move off the IBM mainframe system and implement a comprehensive student data management system that incorporates multiple data indicators for instructional data analysis. This would enable administrative and instructional staff to make good decisions relevant to student achievement.
"We were looking for an integrated, web-based system with an intuitive user interface, real time attendance and grade book and a portal to enhance communication with parents," said Utley. "Infinite Campus has the system that will help us achieve our goals and be better prepared for the future."
